A bit more about me…..

I didn’t start out as a “freelance copywriter.”

I started working in brand marketing and communications, where I spent over 15 years learning how to take complicated ideas, and turn them into something clear, structured, and usable. I worked in London with Marketing agencies and spent five years at Unilever building some of the worlds biggest brands.

When I moved to Barcelona I started working as a writer and communications specialist for the European Commission and went on to work at a University in Barcelona, helping them to increase their brand awareness by creating impactful content.

Somewhere along the way, I realised two things:

1. Most businesses are overcomplicating their messaging
2. I really like simplifying it and making it impactful

Now I work with marketing agencies and small businesses, helping them say what they actually mean. Clearly, confidently, and without sounding like everyone else.

The main step that most brands miss, is understanding the target audience and who they are talking to. I help my clients understand who they are talking to and help to create a messaging strategy that will drive growth.

I’m based in a small town just outside Barcelona, working between school runs, client calls, and the occasional strong coffee. I have two kids, which means I’m efficient, practical, and very good at cutting through unnecessary noise (in more ways than one).
